A 3D PRINTED PADDING

Made possible by an evolution in manufacturing, our Adaptive line of saddles stands out for one key feature: 3D-printed padding. Crafted by the experts at Carbon®, Adaptive padding is created through a process known as Digital Light Synthesis.

DLS uses digital ultraviolet light projection, oxygen permeable optics, and programmable liquid resins to essentially “print” saddle padding that is comfortable, supportive, and incredibly resilient—resistant to both UV exposure and prolonged, repeated use.

TAILORED ZONAL CUSHIONING

Digital Light Synthesis also provides fizik engineers and biomechanists with the ability to fine-tune support across the saddle’s surface, designing Adaptive padding to feature multiple functional zones.

Each key zone is tailored to provide the right balance of cushioning and mechanical response needed when adopting different riding disciplines, body positions, or bike geometries.

The result is a 60% reduction in peak pressure through improved weight distribution and improved comfort across the entire saddle surface.
